I Need Your Arms Around Me, I Need to Feel Your Touch
Living without a home should always be an unusual circumstance . . . so why does it seem to happen to me so often . . . ?
The life of a student is always an odd one, especially if you have to change apartments twice a year. Currently I'm in said transition. (I have time, so maybe I'll try and explain.)
My home is where I live for nine months of the year. I only live there for nine months because it's too expensive to stay there for the entire twelve. When summer comes a lot of the students around this university head back to the places that they call home, where living is pretty well free because their parents do all the work. With the drastic drop in people needing a place to stay, apartments drop their prices. I should clairify; all apartments drop their prices except for the one I live in . . .
Come summer I'm left with my options of A) Stay home, pay $200 a month and don't have to worry about moving. B) Leave home, pay $300 for the whole summer. Yep, there is great internal unrest (don't worry, it's not indigestion) pay $600 dollars for a place to sleep, or pay $300 for a place to sleep.
The reason as to why they are able to keep the price up so high is because all the lower cost housing acutally does get filled up. So this past summer my home was rented out. I had to move out of my summer apartment yesterday but the boys of summer have decided that they don't want to give up their sweet pad--my home-- to go out on the street for a couple of days before they can move into their other apartment (in otherwords, they don't want to be in my situation).
Basically what it all boils down to is that I'm going to take off some work, go back to where I grew up, and put off dealing with this whole situation till Monday.

Being homeless is never fun, even if it's only for a few days. Come to the U26th for church on Sunday if you're in town, meetings start at 12:45pm. It could be a preview of the reunion we are so going to have one of these days. Besides, it's been way too long since I've had a hug from my nemesis! ;)
Hope you figured out what you were going to do. If you do end up in SLC, give me a ring. It's been FOREVER since we've talked or seen each other.
I'm about to be homeless too. Scary stuff.
Found out I am going to be up there on September 16th to visit a friend. Just so ya know...
