Never Before

I'm not ashamed enough
And I don't miss you much

I've started rumors before
And I can start a little more

Is the cold growing mightier
Or will it be another day

I've almost forgotten the touch
And I know I've still got the stuff

Is tomorrow going to be brighter
Or will I turn into the fighter

Is the music getting quieter
Or am I drifting away

Figure It Out

Even though it's been a long time since that last kiss, it's still in a man's blood to keep track of her. You want to know that she's happy and doing well, and you want to know who she's dating. Why is this of any importance? I wish I really had an answer for you.

Perhaps you will find similarities between yourself and them. Or maybe the differences that drove you apart. After watching for a while you might come to the final conclusion that they're just confused and maybe you did let them go too easily.

If you're lucky enough to still have some sort of a firendship with them you also get the opportunity to find out about prospective replacements as well. I find these ones so much more interesting because at that point you know that there is something comming from said target that draws her to him. She doesn't know all the little secrets of his personality and most likely neither do you, so all you have to work from is this picture that isn't fully developed, or maybe it's over exposed . . .

Don't Do No Dumb Stuff

This article was brought to my attention a while back and I've been pondering it's information and how it applies to my life for a long time now. I'll admit that I've been pretty well on both spectrums. And as far as I can tell I might as well be in both still.

I'm a Monkey

The quickest way for a guy to lose my respect is for him to show up at some person's house, meet some girl and cuddle with her for the entire movie. I admit that it might be in consent with the girl, that it means nothing other than a better way to enjoy the movie, at which point I'm just jealous.

However, there are also the times where she will take it to mean more than had ever crossed the guy's mind and he doesn't even know what it is he's telling her. I've come to expect the latter from all of the situations that I've seen.

I will often lean more twards the latter probably because I have yet to experience the consent of what I like to call a "cuddle buddy". In fact I've never seen a successful cuddle buddy situation (as far as I know), she will always interprate the action in a whole nother way thus making me into one of the jerks that I dislike so much.

Since my mission these attempts haven't happened often, but I should probably just stop trying all around because the results have never been good. :-(

the gray matter keeps me guessing

Let me out
Let me be free
Let me be the person that I'm supposed to be.

Let me out
Let me be free
Let me understand the you
Help me understand the me.

If You Only Knew

Each person has a revolving door. sometimes we see that door and run straight through it with out even knowing what's inside. Quite often we might sit there with our hands on the handle just waiting to push, but are too busy looking at the "architecture" and totally forget to go in when we get distracted by another building. Then there are those times that we just want to play in the door itself, nothing more. Going around in circles for hours, days, weeks? We're not in and we're not out, we're just there. Others see us and figure "Oh, he's going in" or maybe they will figure that we're going out. Either way you've been spotted in the doors.

How easy is it to go in the doors, stay a while and then decide that you don't like the decorating, so you leave? Can you go in then go out then go in again? Is there ever enough room to let more than one person in at a time? Or maybe we just want to lock our doors and keep everyone out.

Segwa

Have you ever tried to catch lobster? It's really not that hard, all you have to do is throw out a lobster trap with meat for bait and then check up on it every now and then to see if anything has wandered into it. At times you might catch something other than a lobster; i.e. a starfish or an octapus. But when you're putting as little effort into your labors you probably can't expect to bat 100 all the time.

I'll be honest, I've never been out to try and catch lobster. However, I have worked the same way for pretty much all of my life. I will check by every now and then to see if an opportunity has arisen for me to take a hold of, yet so often it will and I'll throw it back into the pool because I felt like I didn't give it enought meat for bait.

It's a whole nother experience to tie the bait to a string and try to get the lobster to grab it. For some reason they don't like to let go once they've latched on, but you have to be a little more patient and you can't just leave it in hopes that they will catch themselves.

I was amazed at how much easier it actually became when I did trow the meat into the pool, dangled it in front of the lobster and kept my fingers crossed that it would grab hold and forget to let go.

We'll see how the seafood fries up once I bring the pot to a boil.

Echo of the Horizon, Silhouettes in the Dark

I saw the moon peek above the moutains last night
Moved a few more miles till I finally lost its light

Forever running through my mind
The Past was good to me, will the future be so kind?

Moved a few more miles and I saw the Moon was dancing
Moved a few more miles and knew I didn't know
